    Default Wireless router as adapter for xbox .

    I have a belkin router that i want to use as a wifi adapter for my xbox , i have been thru the setup process and entered the ssid and wep details but cant get a connection - and not sure if i'm doing it correctly ?

    some units will work in client mode, others don't have the facility too.
    i really doubt the belkin one has this, list the model number and ill check it out for you. (my opinion of belkin is not very high).

    These units certainly do though

    Bugger, wasted $25 then apart from the dlink mini ap and the aeropad i use now there arent many mini wireless adapters that have ethernet connections, plenty with usb but thats no good on an xbox.

    You didn't say which dlink you have. Maybe you didn't waste your money. ...Yet....

    No, i have an Aeropad mini AP that i use now but the only other mini AP i have seen is the dlink DWL-G730AP which are a bit pricey - its the belkin i just bought.

    Sorry, mate. It doesn't change much anyway. Which Belkin router do you have?

    Anyway, you might find the usefull for your device. If your model is listed there, do the dd-wrt flashing and you will get it to work in Client-AP mode.
