What is the name of the software and what version is it ?
I have seen a couple of members mention " getdataback " or something similar as a program that works well.
Hi I today accidentally delete all data from the hard disk on my Sony HDR-SR12 video camera which included some memories that I’m not going to have back.
I have tried to download some software that I can connect the camera on my PC and use the undelete software downloaded from the net to retrieve the data. It retrieves the data but it’s asking to get the full version and pay so to be able to use it.
Can any one help me resolve this please (what to do, where to get this software ...)
Thanks.

Hi Sanity the one I have used is ParetoLogic Data Recovery.
Thanks.
I'll vouch for getdataback..
saved my ass copious times and a shitload of hours labour.
BUT with any data recovery DO NOT USE THE DRIVE until you run a recovery... DO NOT WRITE to the drive...
Use a free program called RECUVA......works a treat.
Just don't write to the drive until you have saved what you want to ANOTHER drive....
i have used RECUVA to get every file back from a formatted HDD - no probs...even from a usb stick

I've used Recuva on a SD card from our digital camera ... recovered everything I needed and saved my arse as well
I use GetDataback on a daily basis in my data recovery business. It is not a free program but you can find some extra little pieces of software to go with it that will make it work as the full version.
The other tool I use is a program called Sandisk Recovery Pro. It is excellent for retrieving data off memory cards, flash media, camera drives and more.
getdataback is the go for sd cards saved me a few times
