ie6 ?
that must have more holes than a thai hooker......
might pay to update to ie8 or firefox......
have you tried tools/internet options/security/reset all zones to default level ?
check your flash player settings ?
Hi all
Having issues with IE6, I think one of the kids has changed the settings somehow whenever I go into youtube the browser won't play videos and for the life of me I can't figure out what it is, I assuming its something that has been either checked or unchecked in the advanced settings, even now when I log into austech the IE browser doesn't auto redirect like it used, any ideas anyone or could it be something more sinister?
any help is appreciated

have you tried, tools, internet options, advanced, restore advanced settings and reset to default settings.
IE8 is a mongrel... verryyyyyy slowwwwwww with video problems.
I tried it and had all sorts of problems, so try IE7.
I agree with mtv regarding using IE7 rather than IE8
I had this same problem with my daughters machine and problems playing youtube videos. It was a corrupted version of flash player. You download a complete un-install program and reboot and install flash player again.
The uninstall program can be downloaded from

Sorry to hear you are having other problems.
If you have corrupted operating system files then I suggest you run system file checker. Though if you continue to get corrupted files then a clean reinstall is the best way to go. If you use an image program you can have it all back next time in under 30 minutes.
Hi guys an update
I've bit the bullet, bought a new m/b, re-formatted h/d and at this very moment am in the process of setting all up again, at least I'm connected again, just downloading all the updates again for the firewall, av, mb ect.
Now the problem itself, I have a feeling that some of the active x controls the kids have downloaded to play their may have been the cause, as I was reading on a forum, can''t remember if it was here orr not regarding one of the adobe flash players had a problem and the only way to remove it was to download their flashplayer remover then instal a new one, but so far looking good, thanks heaps for the replies, I really do appreciate!!!

Good luck with the reinstall and keeping it all working nicely with kids using it!
