Hi all have being reading this, it says to use ic prog 5 D................is this necessary...........is there a major difference this and 6a ? Also when i open ic prog i get an error message saying illegal function is this normal.
I have gotten as far as using the smart card wizard when go to load the the first file another error comes up. I will get the exact wording. Sorry.... will get the exact wording. thanks in advance

That's just the version he used. Others will work too. If your problems persist then by all means try other versions though. (FWIW I normally use 1.05C.)

Your error is probably because the program is configured for direct port access, which works fine under Win95/98/ME but gives access violation under NT/2000/XP.

You need to copy the ic-prog.sys driver into the same directory where IC-Prog's exe is. Then, ignoring error messages, go into the Options | Misc menu and check the 'Enable NT/2000/XP driver' option. Then close and restart the application.

Then go into Settings | Hardware menu, choose Win API option and select your programmer type (eg JDM Programmer).

Lots has been written about this over the years by many people. You can find further information by googling for "ICProg installation" or "ICProg access violation".

The first error message is when i open the program....it says "Error ocurred(the system can not find the file specified) while starting driver!" I get another message when trying to load GFgold v226. Will try what is mentioned above.

ok just had another crack at it..................going by the tutorial i got as far selecting the GFgolg v 226 eeprom file, as the file attemps to load i get an error "Resetting card failed" ......................any suggestions ............thanks in advance. Am using 1.05D

Sorry all been away for awhile working out of town .............no time for the hobby......back into it now for a short time......still open to suggestion

Have you got your driver ???



Wont work till you can load the program with no errors popping up at start-up.
