I have found using the above tutorial, that I can find all my Aurora details in the eeprom.hex for a gold card,

& I can edit the eeprom.hex for a gold card no problems,

but in a Silver or Emerald card (which uses the emerald.hex) I cannot find where to edit the HMK or the PMK,

I can find the other details Ok,

HSN: at memory location 02 22
    PrID10: at memory location 04 E1
CoCo: at memory location 05 F9
CoCo: at memory location 03 F9
CoCo: at memory location 04 F9
CoCo: at memory location 06 F9

Has anyone got any ideas what memory locations to edit the HMK, & PMK,

    Cheers

I do not know the memory locations/map; but just in case you don't know, LMEdit will allow you to read/write these values. (for silvers/gold)

If you wanted to manually find them, you could change them using LMEdit, then dump the eeprom and compare it with the non-changed version (i know some editors/tools can do this), or just search for the hex string in the eeprom.

    Cheers, RHCP.

    Thanks RHCP

I can load the details in LMEdit, I was just trying doing it another way for the fun of it,

That's a good idea !, Change the HMK to something like AA AA AA AA AA AA AA AA AA AA & change the PMK to something like BB BB BB BB BB BB BB BB, then write them to card then open the emerald.hex in ICProg & look for the entries,

I can save the emerald.hex in ICProg,

    will give it a go,

    Thanks

No Luck so far on the Silver Card,

    I found a memory location for the PMK10: 04 00

but the values for the PMK10 on a working card do not seem to be what they should be,

so I changed the PMK10 to AA AA AA AA AA AA AA AA & the HMK to EE EE EE EE EE EE EE EE EE EE,

& the PMK still shows up as memory location 04 00,

The HMK I still cannot find it,

like I said on a Gold card everything is all there,(according to the details in the .crd file)

    will try again latter

That is the same address as a gold card....i have a feeling ghost silver (or emerald) shares the same eeprom map......

BTW - emeralds have an internal and external eeprom.
