There are some reasons I like not living in Australia for any more.

One is uncapped bandwidth with real speeds.

Very. Unless you are on Satellite Internet.

Generally on ADSL a ping of around 60 to local sites and 2-300 on international sites would be around average.

14 hours to download a 700mb AVI file but it is faster than Dialup (just)

I'd ask why the time disparity but I am not sure I would understand the answer.
I know the Satelitte is 'UP' there so the Ping goes Up and Down but what about on ADSL if you send a Ping around the world ??

This month I upped my speed to 1024 and chose to 'Supercharge' it but based on this performance I am going back to 512.

Optarse cable, has its ups and downs...but in general its ok

In all seriousness, i should be getting around 15 Mb/s. I've been with adam for 2 years now and just in the last week have noticed that my speeds have dropped from 1.5 MB/s to ~500-800 KB/s. There's a bit of talk about it over at whingepool.
