How does that compare to this,
aaNet - ADSL2-Plan-3, $49.90/mo, 50 Gbytes + offpeak.
aaNet seams a better deal to me or am I missing something.

I'm on $49.95 plan for 10Gb download/mth with Internode but have just changed to a new Easy Plan giving 30Gb/mth for same cost. This new plan counts uploads and downloads which is different but as I upload very little it looks a good deal.
Still no contract and no cost for me to change.
Will let you know if any nasty surprises.

Internode Easy Broadband cuts confusing choices
09-07-2009
In a game-changing move, Internode is offering consumers the widely available, easy-to-choose plan with a huge 30-gigabyte (GB) data quota and other complicated decisions removed from the equation.
Internode Easy Broadband is a radically different broadband plan to Internode's traditional plan table which offers a wide - but sometimes confusing - array of prices, speeds, DSLAM network types, DSLAM coverage tables and data quotas.
Internode managing director Simon Hackett said Internode Easy Broadband was totally different to anything else his company had offered. "It's to solve the problem of decision paralysis," he said.
"For a long time, I've been chewing on the notion of living in a different world where broadband is easy. Internode Easy Broadband is designed to appeal to people who do not want to grapple with complex choices - it's a single plan that delivers a great value proposition for a very reasonable $49.95 per month, with no complications to sort through."
"More than 70 per cent of people sign up with us because we've been recommended by someone, but many customers of the largest broadband retailers haven't heard of Internode unless one of their technically astute friends tells them about us. With Internode Easy Broadband, choosing Internode ceases to be a technical choice - or a technical challenge. One plan, one price... great value... easy."
"Choosing Internode Easy Broadband is just like its name - easy. It's the plan we want everyone to hear about."
Internode Easy Broadband eliminates confusing choices. Internode automatically selects the most appropriate DSLAM network for each customer's location. The quota is large enough for most customer requirements - especially since it includes the full range of Internode unmetered downloads.
The minimum speed supplied for Internode Easy Broadband is a guaranteed 1.5 megabits per second. Full-throttle ADSL2+ speeds are provided wherever direct Internode-direct ADSL2+ coverage is available. As Internode builds more DSLAMs, customers will automatically migrate to ADSL2+ speeds.
Internode Easy Broadband offers better value than comparable retail broadband plans offered by Telstra and Optus. It also provides better value than the same price point in Internode's existing plan table.
To allow customers to make a direct comparison of value for money, the Internode Easy Broadband plan counts both downloads and uploads in the 30GB data quota, in the same way its major rivals do. As with existing Internode plans, access to unmetered content such as broadband downloads to TiVo media devices and the extensive Internode streaming radio service, adds even more value to the plan.
Mr. Hackett said Internode Easy Broadband was an additional plan to Internode's traditional broadband range. "Our existing plan table will continue to give a wide range of choices and download-only data quotas to our customers who want them," he said.
"Internode Easy Broadband provides an extra option and a simple life for many new customers. Existing customers are also welcome to move to the Internode Easy Broadband plan if they wish to do so."
just read it and am tempted to move over to this
i already changed over i was paying 59.95 for 20gig
so how do you find it? any flaws? as im considering to change on the 29th, when my month ends
Easy Broadband ADSL 1.5M/256k or
ADSL2+ up to 24M/1M 30 Gigabytes
(uploads + downloads) $49.95
Home-Extreme-Value $59.95 Extreme ADSL2+ Speeds 25 Gbytes
For $59.95 I am getting 25 Gbytes of full downloads, no uploads count.
Where as the one you changed to, uploads count towards your 30 Gbytes.
Cheers
Well it just gets better and better with Internode. Easy broadband has now risen to 50 gig a month at no extra cost ! And that includes new and current customers.
count uploads ? so they have certain amount (GB's) allowed to upload or they counting uploading as downloading adds data to download usage ?

That's correct - their "easy broadband" plan is for light to medium users who don't leave torrents seeding 24/7
Those who want large data allowances at lowest price and who aren't concerned about consistent speed or latency have always been better off with other providers (such as Exetel). Internode have never been a low cost provider, instead they focus on quality of service, ie consistent performance and high availability. You can read more about that .
There's been a lot of heated discussion about Internode's recent plan change, largely due to Simon Hackett being misquoted by media reports as saying there'd be increased quotas "across the board". He corrected the record . Some plans receive big quota increases, some don't, but no user is worse off since nobody is forced to change their plan. He also added an additional 100GB plan for heavy users of a receiving a complaint about a gap in their revised plan lineup, which he admitted had been an oversight.
People who want to download the internet in its entirety without a concern about constant speed or latency would be much better suited to Exetel , particuarly with its off peak times.
As a non downloader of the internet I am more interested in quality than quantity. But I also have 2 kids so thats 3 people using the internet. Its not too often that your ISP says have another 20 gig for no extra cost ( unless its on their own infrastructure ) , even standard web browsing these days chews up bandwidth ( sites like youtube in particular ).
we use 700mb - 1GB just surfing sites a day .. 5 ppl using it ... no downloading ...
