Angry Who is spying on me? Perhaps others too?

Can anyone enlighten me as to why and/or how this program got on my computer? First logged 05/02/09
    Only runs if system idle.
I am curious to know what it is trying to do?
Seems it is scheduled to run at 09:15 every day.
    A detailed log is available.
Peculiar how it confuses the date format.
    --------------------------------------
    Typical log entries:
    "AutoMe_Austech01.job" () 7/8/2009 11:03:08 AM ** WARNING **
The run was not started because the system was not idle.
    "AutoMe_Austech01.job" () 7/9/2009 4:51:25 PM ** WARNING **
The run was not started because the system was not idle.
    "AutoMe_Austech01.job" (AIRobot.exe) 11/07/2009 943 AM ** WARNING **
    Invalid working directory..
    The specific error is:
0x00000003: The system cannot find the path specified.
Verify that the directory exists and try again.
    ------------------------------------------

    "C:\Program Files\NewDigitalSoft\AI Robot\AIRobot.exe" -a Austech01

This information gleaned from my Scheduled Task Manager.

ഀ What benefit can I get from AI Robot?
    ഀ ഀ ഀ

ഀ ഀ You can automate almost any repetitive task that includes a lot of input like mouse clicks, key presses from you. ഀ You can automate right clicking, automate input keystrokes or text, automate clicking on multiple areas of the ഀ screen. You can use it for applications or web pages that ask you to sit and click for a while to achieve your ഀ goals such as online slot machine games, bingo, news and broadcast sites. You can automate power point presentations, ഀ automate webcams, refresh webpages, automatically click on links in webpages, and you can click with remarkable ഀ speed. AI Robot can click as fast as 100 times a second.ഀ
    ഀ ഀ

ഀ By using AI Robot, you can not only improve your work efficiency, but also save you a lot of times and trouble.ഀ
    ഀ ഀ

ഀ AI Robot can also help to reduce the stress on your hands and wrists, as it can take over any kind of repetitive ഀ tasks for you, reducing your risk of developing carpal tunnel syndrome, a painful and possibly debilitating wrist ഀ and fingers problem. The most common factor that contributes to carpal tunnel syndrome is repetitive finger or ഀ hand movements. The less time you spend on repetitive clicking tasks, the better!ഀ

Now with version, you can record your mouse and keyboard actions easily, then generate robot from there, ഀ so that you can repeat the whole process again any time you wish, and as many times as you want.ഀ You can also schedule robot to run any time you wish.

Why don't you look at NewDigitalSofts website before accusing Austech of any funny business? ........ and take care Google claims NewDigitalSofts website may harm your computer.

Is there any reason beer4life , that anytime you find some issue with your computer that you get on here trying to blame Austech for it ? Exactly what does this have to do with " Rules , Information and Minor Announcements " ? Is there a need for you to post an announcement to everyone because you dont know what some process is that is running on your computer ?

    G'Day,
You are a little premature in jumping to conclusions and putting words into my mouth.
I most certainly did not accuse Austech of any funny business.
My motive in posting was to alert the Staff and members that they may also be victims of this program and where to locate it on their PC.
There is also the hope that someone is erudite enough to extract the information from it to pinpoint the originator and the destination of any info gleaned or what they hope to learn from my activities here.
It only becomes active when I'm idle, suggesting browsing history or similar.
From what I am learning, perhaps I have been made a client/Zombie for a DDOS attack. Nothing would surprise me these days.

Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".

B4L , this is not the first time you have insinuated something like this against Austech so I would hardly say its jumping to conclusions. Perhaps you should heed some of your own advice in future before posting. Only a week or so ago you were insinuating things about me installing something as basic as Casino for members amusement. As the person who does most of the software installs and modifications on this site free of charge , your hints such as this and others are wearing very thin with me. Perhaps I should question your credibility on this ? It took all of 30 seconds on Google to find out what this software is.

Software generally doesnt install itself on computers so I can hardly see a need for you to post alerts to everyone in Austech's announcement forum. I would suggest you post in the Security and Privacy forum if you have a problem with your computer. Ironically , it seems this software has given you false status as spending the most time on the site.

the program looks like an automater, remember someone on here (z80?) saying he had one similar to do EMK updates once a week or something similar?

it clicks all the necessary buttons in the necessary programs without you being at the actual computer. Must of installed it for something on AUSTECH as you named the log file that.

If this program is indeed an automator, you should be able to find the file it runs (perhaps the .job file) and see exactly what clickety-clicks it is doing. That might enlighten you (and all of us) as to what purpose this app is serving on your computer.

Of course this part of ogo's post is what worries me the most:
"Now with version, you can record your mouse and keyboard actions easily"

because that sounds like it could be used as a keystroke logger, so someone can record your keystrokes (e.g passwords, chat transcripts)

Personally I'd change your banking password ASAP - on another computer

@ Beer4life its me whos been watching you darling.

On a serious note...if you can call it that, i doubt you have much to worry about, we all know our ip's are being watched for security reasons, nothing wrong with mods keeping control of who's in or out, they are protecting the integrity of the forum.

In all the years here ive only seen mods remove malicious software posted by others.

    People are getting too paranoid......

BTW, what are you wearing love?
