Forgot windows XP login password

My wife has a home pc running XP.
It's been some time since its been used (maybe 3-4 months) and she has forgotten her Windows login password (administrator).
Is there any way of accessing the system in order to reset her admin password?

Download The Bootdisk From run it and then you can clear or change the administrator password....I just used it 20 minutes ago...works great!

On a fresh install and most installs of XP there is normally a hidden account 'Administrator' with no password normally. (not seen under USERS)

At login screen hit 'Ctrl+Alt+Del' about 3 times consecutively

Will then come up with a box you can type in a user & password.

User
Administrator

Password
Leave Blank

No password is normally set for this account as when you install XP you normally are asked for a Username most people put in our names eg.. Davo then user Davo is set up as administrator and the normal account used from there on. You don't See the 'Administrator' account under Manage Users as I have said its Hidden. Similar to Guest account but you see that.

From here you can log in then goto Users Accounts and set the other Administrator Account's Password again. Eg in my example Davo account.

After an install I always login to the 'Administrator' account and set a password in case my computer ends up in the wrong hands like Burglars.

Hi,forgot or lost windows password? don't worry.
1.log on a computer that is linked to internet.
2. Free download windows password unlocker
3.Burn the downloaded .ISO file onto a blank CD
4.Insert newly created CD into the locked computer and then reboot it
5.select the account you wanna reset the password.

Just above steps, your problem will be solved with great ease. many of my friends have used this method, which solved their puzzle
