    Default Kaspersky Internet Security 2010

Just to advise that if you are using KIS 2009 , you can upgrade to KIS 2010 simply by running KIS 2010 installer. It will use your existing 2009 subscription and apply it to 2010.

Its well worth the upgrade , lots of new options and all fully congfigurable and able to be disabled should you wish. Its great to see a product that just gets better and better and you can purchase a year sub for about 8AUD from ebay.com

Why waste time on free products that are not up to the job ?

It doesnt really matter from what I have seen....I have bought several over the last few years and none have ever failed. I recently bought a 3 pc / 3 year licence so I dont expect to be buying any for a while I had been buying yearly , but for under 20aud 3 / 3 was unbeatable.

Once a Kaspersky key has been activated , the countdown on that subscription starts. If you install the same key on another computer in 3 months time , it wont give you 12 months , it will give you 9 months. It seems they have adopted this method in regards to piracy.

So as long as the key you buy gives you 12 months when you install it , its a never used key.

I just had a look and seen Kaspersky Internet Security 12 month single PC keys for $6.50US buy it now. If you were just after Kaspersky Antivirus , there are some auctions where it looks like they are going for 99 cents due to no bids

You cant lose. Any problems , paypal complaint should get your rubles returned.

Kaspersky have legacy key types with some KIS 2009 installs.

If your running a version 6 key type for your 2009 KIS then the update to 2010 will fail as version 6 keys dont work with it. Latter key types will just work.

If you have a version 6 key the solution is to tell KIS to run as a trial version so you dont have to uninstall then call the the local support people here.

They will give you a new key valid for the same time as the old version 6 key.

This is something they sent me.

You wont find any key types that old on ebay. I would think most v6 type keys would now be expired maybe a 3 year could still be going.

I love their talk of the optimised special edition Kaspersky version for Australia on that site.

" The main differences between the ANZ version and the Global version is the support section, as it has been changed to be locally based. "

    Big feature

Latest Kaspersky Internet Security versions can be downloaded here :

Simply download and install and apply your Kaspersky key. If you already have a working version of Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 , dont uninstall it , just install KIS 2010 and it will use your existing 2009 key.

Latest Kaspersky Antivirus versions are here :

I had a version 6 key which is what they gave me for my OEM copy of KIS 2009 which is now 6 months old. I've installed a few now I must have a look see what they are running on.

Every key you find online will end up blacklisted or is blacklisted.....your wasting your time. Buy a key off ebay.com for about $6USD , end of problem. On the odd chance that you are supplied a dodgy key , do a paypal charge back. You really cannot lose.

Well, I`ve got to say I`m not too impressed with Kaspersky or Malwarebytes. I was running Trend Micro until a few weeks ago but it was really starting to slow my system down to a crawl, it had gotten progressively worse over the last few months. So I swapped to Kaspersky, bought a 3 year license. I was starting to become suspicious because it wasnt picking up any spyware or adware on it`s nightly scan so I set all the settings to high and did a full scan. All it picked up was 9 vulnerabilities. Then ran a full scan with Malwarebytes, it picked up nothing, I then ran Spybot, a slightly different result. 28 spyware/adware hits and 2 trojans. The version of spybot I used hasnt been updated for about 6 months as well. So my opinion of Kaspersky and Malwarebytes is they are cheap, for a reason.

Thought I would give Kaspersky 2010 trial a go. Got rid of Avast but found Kaspersky was slowing my dual core down big time. Also kept nagging me to update it. When I went to remove it the pesky thing refused to go. After doing a google search I managed to remove it... Now trying AVG

AVG , LOL ! You must have a grudge against your PC.

I have Kaspersky running on 5 computers even as gutless as Celerons and havent seen any evidence of it slowing any down.

Of course its going to nag you to update it....you installed the trial version. The purpose of which is to get you to install the full version.

Well If you bought a Kaspersky key from ebay watch out. My 3yr license that I purchased on ebay lasted 6 weeks and now it appeared on Kaspersky`s blacklist. I wasnt too concerned about not having the software any more because I wasn`t happy with it anyway but I dont like getting ripped off.

This is the ebay id of the arsehole I bought it from so dont buy one from him. I tried to contact ebay but it is too hard to even send them an email that I gave up.
