    Default windows xp recovery disk

    anyone no where i can download disk droped computer now telling me

    windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:system32\DRIVERS\isapnp.sys

    saying repair with disk

    Did you drop a laptop computer and now you get that error message?

    dropped tower so i waited turned back on and got that message i tryed rebooting etc but comes back with that message

    You may have done some damage to the hard drive...

    You can also try and run a full check disk on that partition, first.

    If you dropped the drive, you've almost certainly caused mechanical damage to the drive.

    A Windows recovery disk isn't really going to help you.

    I suggest you replace the drive, and hook the old one up in a slave configuration, then copy/salvage whatever data off it you need.

    BUT you might be real real lucky that you can get your self a copy of BartePE repair disk and run CHKDSK and see if it will recover the bad sector

    BIG MAYBE lol
