Is that line essential? Everytime I add it, it seems to stop my box from booting.

    /usr/crossepg/crossepg_epgmove.sh

I use FlashFxp to edit the enigma2.sh file, should I use Crimson Editor and see if that works? Just getting annoyed with re-flashing the box.
Been away for a while because it's all been working well.

Have changed to Lt the Fifth and having problems again..

For you're problem, don't use FlashFXP. Thats exactly what problem I was having. It corrupts the .sh file. I used Dreambox Control Centre. Never heard of Crimson but most people are recommending it.

Set up FlashFXP to use crimson editor as default thats what I do and never had a problem

Default Aliases with timeoffset within Crossepg

    @nfnovice,

I've been using your xmltv file within crossepg for a while now. It works really well. Thanks for providing this facility. (Is there any chance that it will cease at some time in the future?)

I've also modified the alias.py script used with crossepg to support time offsets / deltas. This is useful for using epg data from an eastern states broadcast as an alias for a broadcast in central or western states. This modification can be found at under Issue 88 if you're interested.

It is nice to be using crossepg now rather than e2_loadepg because it is much quicker and more elegant.

Thanks again for the consolidated aurora xmltv file source. Perhaps you should publish this with crossepg so that you are one of the standard 'providers'?

    cheers

    cheers thanks AJM

my script gets the data from the oztivo web site - using their data and meeting their restrictions on data down loads - loosely based on my E1 oztivo scripts

I have loaded my scripts on-line with my ISP who have an upcoming server change

    - as long as oztivo data and my ISP servers are up - the data should be available and upto date for as long as aurora is

note - I just changed the scripts to try and get two more days data into - which will depend on oztivo actually having the data

for those using crossepg under pli and suffering that annoying download every 1 hour
the fix has been in a while .. but I just found it
    1. through packet management - deinstall your current version of crossepg-1.6 (svn 142)
    2. install the other version under packet management just plain crossepg (svn 242)
problem fixed .. how come it took me so long to find it

LOL... The python scripts I spoke about above require 'script support' which was not available at svn 142. BTW its now up to svn 277 for enigma2 mipsel.

    cheers

    Hi Guys.

    Its been a while.
Ive been experimenting with getting CrossEPG working here in NZ with SkyTv via a VU+Duo PVR running the latest release of VTi.
Currently i have CrossEPG downloading the EPG data from the EPG data Stream via Optus D1 Skys service, and have it parsing etc and after about 3 minutes i am able to use and view
the SkyTV Data via the Graphical EPG on the Vu+Duo.
What i have found is since getting CrossEPG to read the SKYTv Service on the onscreen display which indicates the current and next programme i have the symbols [[0]] in front of the programme name.
This appears in both the Graphical EPG and normal onscreen programme data which is displayed on channel changing.

Has anyone experienced this ?, If so,, what was the Cure ?..

    Cheers:

    Ren

It's also a little easier to install and setup than E2_loadepg. Should work pretty much out of the box. Let me know.

Hi I have had to go back to v0.6.2 since v0.8.2 uses the other tuner (in a 2 independent tuner system) when downloading from the EPG transponder. As my Tuner -A on the VU+Duo2 is used purely for C Band motor drive and dish and I have Tuner-B on an 8 port DiseqC switch for Fixed dishes I need CrossEPG to use the current Tuner in use ...in my Case Tuner-B for Austar. I set my CrossEPG to download weekly at 4am so the changing from a TV transponder to EPG Data never bothers me interrupting a program.
Can you let me know the Author's contact or can you suggest a modification to incorporate a tick box for current or alternate Tuner EPG download in v0.8.2 and later releases, then I can keep with the later versions for my 2 tuner setup.
    Cheers Mike
