Hi,
the files you guys getting on E2, is it in XMLTV or compatible format?
If not, can it be easily translated to XMLTV with some software?
Thanks
Thanks for this one poiuytrewq. I was using the epg feature in the Nabilosat image until recently, however a lot of the channels are now missing since the sat swap over. This is a fantastic application.

Hi guys.
Running DM8000 with Gemini 4.5
Just loaded on CrossEPG here in NZ, configured it to look at our Optus D1 EPG Data Stream, have edited Epg.move.sh to save to my onbaord HDD, also edited Enigma2.sh
Have also selected via Setup Menu for CrossEPG to look at my OptusD1 Config file containing the EPG Transponder details.
Now, Starting up CrossEPG downloader via the Plugins Menu , Crossepg reports back that it has Read counting up to 140 Channels, then continues to report after about 50 seconds that it then summarises, then Saves and converts the data.
After this, the Screen goes back to the Plugin browser.
What i need to know is, am i missing something here that Reads the EPG data files created by CrossEPG ?.
I have browsed my Harddisk where the EPG data is saved to and can view the CrossEPG.descriptors.db file and see that it has saved the services or programme names from the EPG Stream.
Is CrossEPG data imported into the Standard EPG that comes with the Gemini image, or do i need to install another plugin to view the data.
I've allways been a Plu user, so not really used to the GUI that Gemini provide via there extra pluggin centres.
Flame me if i deserve it.. After all , i am a Kiwi..
Cheers

NICE!!!!!!! very nice sat!!!!!
For anyone who has had trouble with Cross EPG in 800/ 8000 images, i can confirm that on the latest LT (LT6) image you just download it, choose the configuration and fire it. Loads the data automatically.

I'm using PLi jade3 with crossepg. the epg is populated correctly for each channel as I can see it when i hit info button. but how do i see multiple channels at one time with it? do I have to load another epg plugin and if so what's recommended?
Scrappy, it should work exactly the same as any other EPG in PLI (i don't use PlI). Basically it just populates the built in EPG with data - is not a client for reading the EPG.

Guys, I assume all the data must be Decimal and not Hex?
So Namespace starts with 0x02AD0000... has to be converted to decimal?
44892160 Is this correct?
AVR
Yeah - values are decimal in the config files.
I went on their site and and downloaded crossEPG but the installation manual doesnt say where to install it on the dm8000.....hear is the installation tute:"Enigma2 installation (common)
copy the binary package in your box.(WHERE IN TO THE BOX...WHAT FOLDER)
Then, from telnet, type this command:
ipkg install crossepg_enigma2-(VERSION)_(ARCHITECTURE).ipk
Reboot enigma2 (GUI)
If you have an image with a compatible epg patch skip the next steps (installation finished)
It would be really handy that they tell you where to install it in your box....it was written for DGStation and tells you exactly in whitch folder to put it.Eventually i will work it out how to do it ,but just bothers me why someone who is advanced in using linux thinks that everyone else is.Saves lots of time for everyone else.

just loaded crossepg on my 7025 with open pli - worked a treat

For LT6:
Get CrossEPG from the CrossEPG website.
put the file in the /tmp directory on your Dreambox.
Install it manually using the install addon bit in the LT menu (can't remember exactly what it's called but you'll find it)
Pull up the options in the setup menu and select the Australia C1 file and whatever other options you want (run it automatically at 3 in the morning is my preffered option).
Run it.
Should populate the EPG with 7 days worth of data automatically.

I was having same problem as Hoffy (had to reflash both dm800 and dm8000 several times after installing CrossEPG they have been hanging on booting for ever) until i downloaded and used Crimson Editor and edited enigma2.sh following nfnovice`s link.......poiuytrewq`s suggestion didn`t work entirely for me cause even i manually installed "crossepg-enigma2_0.3.2-svn-33_mipsel.ipk" from the menu>addon manager>manual install CrossEPG wouldn`t start until i edited usr/bin/enigma2.sh....
