    Default DNS servers - Please need ASAP!

    As topic saids I need DNS servers as my inet had crappped itself using the ISP DNS server only site I can access is austech ! weird ! MSN don't sign in .. I rebooted PC .. power down/up modem/router still only austech .. thanks!

    Check your file first of all.

    DNS should be 203.0.178.191. As an iinet customer myself, I'm having no issues this morning.

    61.88.88.88 is an easy one to remember, it's an Optus name server.

    It's not that uncommon for iinet's DNS to go down , it's not normally for to long though.
    It's a good idea to have a secondary DNS in your router so use the one that ssrattus suggested 61.88.88.88

    sorry guys - Inet is my short for internet

    I fixed it now .. had manaully add my dns servers to IP's on lan for it to work ..even tryed added manaul DNS servers in moden/router ..didn't work.. was using 192.168.1.1 as dns server as modem/router auto found DNS .been like that for over 12 months ..but this morning decided not work ..
