Exactly you can checkout the forums regarding the new liteons and how many have tried to do it themselves with limited knowledge and have bricked them

I have had two or three of these myself back from repair and also one brand new elite with an unreadable drive brought in by customers.
What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

Lucky i stocked up on elites / arcade for premods a couple of weeks back.

I don't like the chances of a solution for the new drive being released any time soon.
They were a bit premature with the release of the last one, not enough 83850 drives floating around in the market.

Most likely after x-mas sales boom has finished.

Theres an easier way read here:
No pin lifting or epoxy removing needed anymore! all we need now is the Lt f/w
LT is complete and that they are testing atm so not long now

Just got a 93450c-2 today. Manage to dump the fw. But in jflasher when I open the dumped fw as target, it doesn't allow me to save it as a dummy bin file, although I can see the key. Is it mean I'm not getting the right reading of the fw ? I used both dosflash and jflasher and both gave me the same key.

Yeh, I'm using 1.67b jf. I can right click, I can see 'save dummy' but it's in grey. So I can not click on it.
