If you have made a gold card successfully with this programmer before, you should be able to make one with the White 'Gold' card too,

Most people just make a mistake in the steps to program the card, if they have not done it for a while,

However, you could try to program another new card, (or reprogram an existing card) to see if it is successfull or not,

the above results should indicate if your "White card" is a faulty card or not

I have had no problem with the "White Gold cards" but others have reported it,

I reprogrammed an old goldy from scratch that I thought was failing and it still lives! While on a roll I programmed a new white goldie and it's good as gold as well

One issue to consider, as you recall back in 2007 to fix the card overheating problem, boxes were fitted with 3 volt card readers. Most card work well on 3 volt but a few won’t budge unless they old 5 volt reader is used.
