I would suggest SatBoy at They are in Cologne, Germany and offer the Smart Wi card splitter with three client cards for Euro 117 (excluding VAT). Postage by DHL to Oz is quoted at Euro 14, making a total of about $215 in aussie dollars. This seems quite reasonable. They are also offered on eBay but the postage is horrendous. I haven't used SatBoy but am thinking off buying a splitter too. You can pay SatBoy by credit card, although there is no mention of PayPal. Hope this helps.

The company (sattronics) is being looked after in his abscence,
All items delivered as described, fast delivery no problems.
    I for one reccommend them.
I am NOT affiliated in any way.
It's easier for some to blame a company and not themselves when things don't work out.
All I can add is read, and make sure what you purchace is what you need.

yep...and he said he would do it one by one, by pm or email.

He doesn't respond to wild herds of cattle that are stampeding.

even though he is a mad cow himself...

Well I can see a problem. You state in a later post that he will clear up any concerns by pm or email, but Madcow is no longer listed as a member here, so how will he send pm's? Does he have a new username, and if so, what is it? The return address of SatTronics as shown on parcels is a PO box in Mungindi NSW, but a web site shows the agent address of Smart Wi in Australia as SatTronics, Queen Street Ayr, Qld. Why is this so? Up until recently SatTronics accepted PayPal as a means of payment. This is no longer the case. Is there an issue with using PayPal that we should know about or has SatTronics lost its PayPayl accreditation? If so, why? These are legitimate questions, requiring a straightforward answer if we are to send money to this business.

I didn't give Satboy a wrap. Mr Electricity asked where else a Smart Wi could be purchased. I suggested Satboy, as no one else had come up with any alternatives. Questions have been raised in relation to SatTronics - hence the need for PMs or e-mails from Madcow. The pathetic part is that you haven't bothered to read previous posts in relation to this dealer to fully inform yourself of the facts. No conspiracy theory, just the need to have some simple questions answered.

i bought one of these from sattronics this week paying by dd, according to the email its been posted so i'll let you know next week how i get on.

for the record, initial email promptly answered and good communication since then so no reason for me to think that it wont arrive or that the good service wont follow on.

also for the record the person i've been dealing withs name is not rob.

What does the word "or" mean in your language?

Why are you concerned about returning goods when you are not a customer?

If I buy a fridge from harvey norman, do i bring it back to the shopping center for warranty?..

You have no rights to any privacy information whatsoever.
After all you aren't a potential customer, and this is an open forum.
So ignoring you is his apt choice.

Requiring? I am amazed he hasn't told you to get stuffed.
Let me know when you find someone he has ripped off...
Then you can leave some more negative rep again.
(the childish shit you learned from the old forum that you've left me cause you disagree)

What a very strange post. I won't quote it all and don't want to get into a slanging match. Sufficient to say that you are happy to buy from this trader. I'm not.

I can't recall ever giving you any rep, pos or neg, old forum or new - how would you know anyway? I don't think even the mods can see, but I may be wrong.

    Not strange at all.

While you are complaining about lack of communication with him and by innuendo implying that he is dishonest or deceptive in some way, I get orders from him for supplies of equipment for his sat business that I exclusively import.
And the substantial amounts paid for dont look like the profile of a business thats failing.
In fact Sattronics is one of my best customers, always pay promptly and never give me grief with technical issues.

I can't sit back and have his reputation tainted when all my experiences are extremely positive, as are those of many others.

I said my experiences have been all positive, and so have many others.

Of course happy customers don't engage in whingeing and whining.

forgot to mention here that my smart wii arrived yesterday and took no more than 1 minute to set up with whitey.

i would have no hesitation of dealing with sattronics again and i can not rate the service high enough.

i also reccomend the smart wii which fired up the card faster than any box it has been in. it runs on a 5v power supply (can use usb port to power it) so i would expect the card to stay cool, time will tell.

I would be interested to know:
The maximum distance between client card and master.
What decoders you are using it with.
Whether you get any pixelation or momentary loss of sound?

Its range is quoted at around 15m which is not very great, and so I have some hesitation about buying one. Thanks for any info.

Ive had one that i got from Rob about a year ago, works fine with whitey, in fact its better with whitey than with spongebob. Some of my boxes:

Zinwell ZDX7000, works fine with smartwi and whitey via client card, yet zinwelll wont work with whitey in slot, go figure!
topfield3000cipro/freecam works fine, occassional scrambled if left on overnight, standby power on/off fixes it, this also happens with bob in slot
Dreamax, a bit slow on channel changing and putting up pics, but watchable
UEC 720ix Aurora, quirky, picture stable but loses channels occassionally, it does this with bob in the slot as well
Topfield3200, doesnt work with smartwi client
Humax 5400Z softcam, no problems at all except occassionally over night I get a scrambled message, reinsert client and all is well

When I run bob in the smartwi i get the occasional pixelation on all boxes, but really bad on the dreamaxs, and often if two boxes are on the same tp, but with whitey hardly ever get pixelation, even if three boxes are on the same tp, dreamaxs stutter occassionally. The zinwells work very well with smartwi

Line of sight outside Ive had pics with no problems 23 metres away from master unit

Thanks for that Jason. It gives me a pretty good idea of what to expect. Smartwi and whitey sound like a good match.
