    Default Antannas

Mate of mine moved to his girlfriends house and is sharing the net via a wireless router/modem from another member in the family, the house is 2 levels, the modem is upstairs, my late is living downstairs. It's a modern house and I guess the insulation is a major part of his problems.

He can't get a strong signal, its so poor he spends more time offline then online. I don't know the brand of the modem, all I have to go on is the network card in his PC has a removable antanna.

I suggested he check out his local shop for other antannas, but he has no luck local to him. He lives around the Gold Coast so does anyone here have a suggestion to where he can go shopping for a decent high gain antanna for inside the house.

i would be surprised if the house had insulation between the floors, but i may be wrong.

The alternative is ethernet over power. In my eBay store i'm selling Netcomm NP285's which are much more reliable than his wireless. The NP285's are not great for video streaming, but fine for Internet and gaming. They're rated at 85 megabits but in reality your looking at like 20.

    my store is at
