Have you done a re-scan in the last few days? If not, give it a go.
Had to do a re-scan in Adelaide a few days ago, had done one at the beginning of the month to pick up the new GO channel as well.
I have a Panasonic Hd plasma but when watching Ch9 (Syd), i get these small boxes being displayed within the picture. It's like snow, but black! There's nothing wrong with signal, cabling, sound. And only in 9. Also a similar event occurs when 9 news starts and when watching 2 and a half men. It's got me stumped.

I did re-scan and no real luck. I would like to add that there is a new 'digital' antenna installed as well as cabling using RG6. It's got me beat.
Panasonics are a bit quirky.
Do a factory default reset, not just search for new channels (erases all settings).
Then, turn off the screen at the wall, leave it for a minute, then turn back on and do a channel scan.
This usually works.
Nine/WIN/NBN HD are still 'building' the HD channel outside the metro areas. I would check a neighbor or another friend to see if they too are experiencing what you are just in case its in the transmission somewhere along the line before it gets to you.
In the Satelitte forum a member has commented on pixeling on ABC in SA, I too have seen this happen on ABC NSW but with 2 STB's on and the other is clear at the time makes me think thats whatever is happening is back along the lines before its being broadcast and that could be your problem too.
I have seen translators drop a channel but the others are unaffected so anything is possible
Hi MTV, i'd like to thank you for your advise. I carried out a full erase on the plasma and then did a full re-scan of all channels. So far, not a single problem. Maybe there was a slight gremlin in the system. Many thanks again. And thanks to others that contributed.
No probs.... pleased it worked for you.
I don't know why the Pana's have this tuning issue, but as you've found, the workaround does the trick.
Some Samsung's have the same problem (and possibly others) in fact, it doesn't hurt to follow the process with any brand digital tuner, erasing all settings is similar to re-installing the OS on a PC.... a clean start.
hello
guys i have a 42" lg plasma, i did a full rescan of the tv to pick up channel 99 and know what happens is the main scanning menu keeps coming up. the only way to get rid of it is to press the exit button and the tv operates normally untill you turn it off.
if you try to rescan again a rather clicking soung comes up and then back to the start of the scanning menu.the only way to get pic again is to scan tv manually.
your input on this would greatly be appreciated.
