Default IGO 8 and amigo help please

Hi all and thanks for looking. First of all I'm a noob when it comes to gps software so I know little. My problem is I scored a asus A632 pocket pc with windows mobile 5 and 240x320 screen and it has copilot installed but its a 2005 version so I decided to try other software, I installed Nav and go IGO8.3.2.80621 and it all went well but when I start it, it gets to the splash screen and says "Your map files are outdated, please visit your local dealer" and thats it, it wont go any further. the map file in content\map is Australia_R15.080318.fbl im guessing its the wrong one or it needs others??
i also tried amigo_pna on another sd card dated June 23rd ( i think) and it gives me the same dealer message but it will continue and run ok except when I look at the map its a sat view of Australia and NZ but no roads or towns etc but when you look at the local help feature it has all the local police fire servos etc but if I try to look up a address its only got Hungary as the only country available, I read that amigo works with the older maps from igo8 but is that right?
Any help would be greatly appreciated or suggestions for other software that will work with it, I spent all day trying various things and its time to ask those in the know.
    Many thanks from snibs.

Both the iGO8 version 8.3 and the iGO Amigo version 8.4 require Navteq maps thus the cryptic error message. The map you have is a Sensis map and will only work with iGO8.0. So if you want to continue with these versions you will need to download the Navteq map the latest of which is 2008Q3. You can get this from .

Alternatively you could download a version of iGO8.0 to use your Sensis map. However there is a later version of that map as well R15.1 081027.

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers, Ian

Navteq map doesnt have embedded speed limits, which is a damn shame, so i am sticking to iGO 8.0xxxx with R15.1, i prefer navteq as they name streets properly, for instance: racecourse rd flemmington to smithfeild and along ballarart rd footscary is just that, but with sensis its called princes hwy grrr

I will have a play with them all I think but I was impressed today with the navteq map that Ian supplied, it has all our streets here up the back of nowhere and did warn me of the local camera down on the highway but not speed zones as you say but I can live without that I guess. Best $30 I ever spent, thanks again gents for the help.
    Cheers from Mick.

My Amigo works with the latest Sensis 16.1 Map. The Navteq map is much better though.

my brother has a asus A632 pocket pc, its not a bad looking device... only problem with it is that if you let the battery die to 0% you will loose your windows settings... so make sure you do a backup, so if it does happen you can quickly restore and you wont have to redo the windows settings again etc...

You should have some app called ebackup or something in your programs ?
    I do anyway...
