That is definitely the connection between the main board and the video board located directly below the mouse buttons.
Flexing of the board occurs when mouse buttons pressed too vigorously.

There was a recall a few years ago, and fixed for free then.

I have twenty spare units if you need some parts

disassembly and the fault are similar to the T6100 as outlined here:-

Yeah, I've done the repair myself after borrowing a high powered microscope on a 6100 which is similar. The problem is a crappy micro 80 pin connector on mainboard that connects to powerboard. (A design fault where Toshiba places the powerboard/mainboard connector right under the right side of the left mouse click button, right where maximum flexing occurs). I missed out on the free motherboard/recall as mine happened after warranty period. These very fine connectors on the mainboard eventually break from the mainboard and the symptoms are intermittent power on, screen crashes during normal operation, or no power up at all. You can cause this by lifting the laptop from the left or right-front corner causing this board to flex.

PS If you had got it from the States, there was a successful lawsuit there against Toshiba and you would still be getting motherboard repaired/replaced apparently.
