Nope. Wont change the performance much.

I was always under the impression that a registry cleaner was used to remove all the left over junk and not a performance booster

If you wish to remove junk in Vista you are better off cleaning out System Restore. I've tried reg cleaners and never seen any difference in the end.

If you want to clean out the junk just use CCleaner and that should do it all.

when games start lagging on my rig a reg clean stops it straight away.some of the games i play are pretty hard on my machine (arma 2) and wont run properly if my machine is full of shit. a reg clean helps it run without lagging.
    could just be me thou.

although its not the only thing that will cause it to do it.
i get a new rig at end of year anyway.

might have a go at ccleaner.

ccleaner is well worth having on your system , for one its free and other than that if you run it regularly it will take care of any potential problems.
