Smile Commodore 64 Games are coming to the Wii !!!

Nintendo has finally confirmed what old school gamers have been waiting for eternally -- Commodore 64 titles are coming to the Wii Virtual Console. There's one little catch...it was Nintendo Europe who made the announcement.

However, it's still expected that the titles will eventually be released in North America later on. The debut games from the platform will be Archer MacLean’s International Karate and Uridium. The classic entries were both released in '86 and will be available for a supercheap price of $5 a pop.

“The massive impact the Commodore 64 had on video-gaming is still evident today with many gamers remembering the computer and its games with great fondness,” said CEO of Commodore Gaming Bala Keilman.

“By working with Nintendo of Europe, we are ensuring that future generations of gamers can play some of the best and most popular titles that kick-started the computer games revolution and so keep the C64 legacy in gamers hearts.”

Personally, I've got my fingers crossed that Jumpman will eventually be one of the C-64 titles unveiled for the Wii VC.
What classic games do you guys want to see on the Wii??

    $5 is a bit steep for a c64 game.

    Airbourne ranger
    Creatures 1&2
    Skate or die

And from the amiga id like to see projectx and turrican 1&2

I would LOVE to see the old school Bard's Tale I, II, III come out.

    Questron I and II.

Oh and M.U.L.E. ( good multi player game there )

Possibly a couple of old school D & D games as well.

I'd love to see the old school rpg's.

LOL Impossible Mission, I played that for a while on the DS until the memorys of the game came back and all I wanted to do was throw things.

That game just drove me nuts!

    Monty on the run
    Ultima III
    Wizball
    Paralax
    Uridium
    Sanxion
    Kikstart II

The graphics and the gameplay of the c64 games will be better than every Wii game currently available

btw wonder if the games will come complete with cracktros...LOL

Imagine booting up Summer Games and the Eagle Soft Inc cracktro appeared. Or better still Druid II and the Fairlight cracktro appeared

/me phones up Bacchus to find out if he's given permission to Nintendo to use games with the Fairlight cracktro
