    Default gamma or not gamma

i bought a card off an austech member previous to the austech collapse at Christmas , it was described as a gamma card with not atr , i only payed $20 for it so its no big deal but i havent seen a gamma ever look like this , so if anyone knows maybe what type of card it is would solve a little mystery for me.

Most gammas are plain white cards with gold contacts. How is yours different?

Insofar as it is a white ISO7816 smartcard with gold contacts...it could be a gamma or any other smartcard..

If you can rustle up an ATR you will know...

Ahh.. I see you've uploaded some photos.

Looks like a gamma I have seen, but might be something else entirely... who can tell really without decapping it?

according to gammacard loader 1 is F5FFE4E020BB0EA166244831 , does that shed any light on the situation . When i try to load an old gamma file onto it it says its not a gammacard and the atr is F7FFE4E020BB0EA1662448331C24

It looks exactly the same as my virgin baught from sattronics as 7272.
Are you getting any ATR using other progs at all?
Also the ATR you show is ususaly comes when comms settings are wrong.

Any prog is fine. I have winexplorer as my preferrence as it is so user configurable. Try different frequency on your card reader (3.57Mhz or 6Mhz) as well as make sure your cable is working.

    Hi ajax,

Bought some of sattronics gamma cards and none of the cards have the same contact pattern as yours.

    Cheers

    Not quite there yet
You need to tell us few things:
    1. Which programmer are you using?
    2. Which program are you using?
    3. What comm settings you have at the moment?

Having that I can try to read ATR from my card that has the same contact configuration using the same program at least, and give me my comm settings.

Have a look at the gold contact pattern, some silvers aren't silver, they are white like Gamma ( I remember someone mentioning on the old Austech Database)
