you have to remove the text at the end and it will work, you are better loading it as all files not text in notepad, read the info i sent you.

well, it worked well, maps need to be updated as they are a touch out on some of the places i went too, new over passes that aren't in there...

grabbed a holder from 3 which will do the job very nicely...

    thanks all for the help..

I have installed Garmin Mobile XT successfully on a Nokia E71 and I have done the necessary to recognise the internal GPS, all good there.
I have also downloaded the Garmin MapSource City Navigator Australia 2008, which is a RAR file with a heap of stuff in it.

My questions is how do I install the Australia map onto my E71.
I dont think I have a World Wide base map as when I go into the application on the phone and Tools>Manage my data>Map Sets, it sais no removable maps found.

Any help would be much appreciated guys.

    Cheers,
    Jeff

Same with me, I have searched everywhere and need detailed instructions on what to do with

    FILE: gmapsupp.img 117,397kb
    FOLDER: Garmin_MAPSOURCE_CNAUNT2009 305MB

Do I simply copy and paste these files and folders to the memory card or where and how do I install them on the phone?

Any help would be much appreciated

your map folders should be in the garmin folder, ie. not in any sub-folder, this is along with the basemap and the sw.unl, you don't need to do anything else for maps, make sure the australian map is called gmapsupp.img and the base map is gmapbmap.img.
