make sure it doe's not say text after the SW.UNL. this is common faulty
i actually seen that, but i had it right, but when viewing in the phone they do show as .txt......i cant work out how to stop that
you have to remove the text at the end and it will work, you are better loading it as all files not text in notepad, read the info i sent you.
cheers, I read the info, I am trying to do it word for word as we speak..so to speak!
BINGO!!!!
the files were wrong as you pointed out. I had to get rid of the .txt at the end and once sorted, away i goooooooo!
Cheers Brian.
now out you go and play.
Bye
Well good thing is I am heading to Adelaide tonight, so it will get a work out straight away, will try and find a good dash holder for it while in the city too.
i got mine from dick smiths
well, it worked well, maps need to be updated as they are a touch out on some of the places i went too, new over passes that aren't in there...
grabbed a holder from 3 which will do the job very nicely...
thanks all for the help..
yeah i had tom tom running, but didnt know i needed the BT gps, so thats why i had to get garmin working.
i actually like the garmin better than tom tom, i might even by the real thing for the car later, this will be ok in the mean time tho!!
can some one give me a link to the latest Australia map, cant seem to find it
thanks
You need Garmin MapSource City Navigator Australia 2008
It's in the Premium Members Lounge.
I have it installed on a nokia 6120 but the option for external gps isnt there and it says no map?? ive checked the file names and all the usual stuff. any ideas?
I have installed Garmin Mobile XT successfully on a Nokia E71 and I have done the necessary to recognise the internal GPS, all good there.
I have also downloaded the Garmin MapSource City Navigator Australia 2008, which is a RAR file with a heap of stuff in it.
My questions is how do I install the Australia map onto my E71.
I dont think I have a World Wide base map as when I go into the application on the phone and Tools>Manage my data>Map Sets, it sais no removable maps found.
Any help would be much appreciated guys.
Cheers,
Jeff
Same with me, I have searched everywhere and need detailed instructions on what to do with
FILE: gmapsupp.img 117,397kb
FOLDER: Garmin_MAPSOURCE_CNAUNT2009 305MB
Do I simply copy and paste these files and folders to the memory card or where and how do I install them on the phone?
Any help would be much appreciated
Thank you all working now
