Best off would be to use a dual 10.7 LNB.
Pay a visit and get an Acer Dual 10.7 LNB from them.
Sorry about the basic question, but neighbour in caravan park currently has Foxtel Sat on one 65cm dish and optus aurora (strong box with card) on other 65cm dish.
Wants to get rid of second (aurora) dish at front of van and have asked me to help.
Suggested they get dual output 10700 lnb without telling farktel and run both boxes from same foxtel installed dish with new dual 10700 lnb (without telling ftel).
Apart from legal issues about swapping lnb's, can anyone advise if universal dual lnb will work (me thinks not) or does it have to be dual 10700 lnb with settings changed on strong box to conform?
Thanks in advance and if anyone knows best place to get appropriate lnb in Perth or sat suppliers on austech would be hugely appreciated.

cheers vk, will do. have bought stuff b4 from them.
How's fings in mid west, been a bit about your area in news lately...
G'Day Cobber,
The Twin/dual output Universal will work just as well as the 10700 Twin/dual, but for the Optus Satellites, not needed.
Either way, he could also add AlJazeera to his Aurora box.
I would be very surprised if there are any legal issues whatsoever involved.
Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".......
thanks for that b4l, what confuses me is that fox is 10700 and not able to be changed in stb. are you indicating that universal lnb will cover that frequency regardless of ftel limitation?
Yes you can change LNB types on a Fox box. You just have to get into the installer menu to do it.
Fox boxes can use a Universal LNB. A 10.7 is much simpler though.
Have a look in the Installer menu:
Press setup
3 System setup
4 System settings
input code 0611 then enter
1 LNB setup
for 11300 lnb press 113 and save settings.
for 10700 lnb press 107 and save settings.

thanks for that, will go 10700 dual, a bit simpler for them (and me)
I was up at Port Denison last weekend - bewdiful.
Just starting wildflower season, so the trip up wasn't too bad.
Back on topic, why would have someone have set up two dishes to point to the same satellite?
* Bill Paxton is the only actor to be killed by Alien, a Terminator, and the Predator.
I'm confused, my normal state, the existing dish they have is good for Foxsmell and Optus but the Fox decoder won't tune Optus channels, and therein lies the problem.
1 dish does the job but 2 STBs needed, I was told that the earlier Fox STBs could be modified to tune to Optus as well.
If this is possible and not just another keyboard expert furfey, then this would be the simplest way for your friends to go.

Just purchase a Sharp 10.7 dual LNB off Ebay should only cost you $20 or so and another STB
