When mounting a gutter mount, you can experiment a little with the location.

You may find a suitable rafter where a rebate in the barge board is unnecessary, as it will directly match a rise in the tile.

Thanks for sharing ozetek, but that was not shown correctly mate.

If you used them instructions and went out to find C1, you'd think you've got it all sorted, only to come down to a STB showing low or no signal quality.

You need to keep turning the gain down whilst moving the dish, until you get the highest reading, with the least amount of gain. You also need to adjust the LNB skew, as well as move the dish.

That video is in the UK, dave, where the astra satellites have too much grunt to be of any major concern, although the same is to be said for C1. For a newbie, it makes everything easier, and most people would have the common intuition to figure out the gain thing for themselves.

    Hey Farmsky,

You know the black plastic 3-way LNB holders (of course you do), well, I thought I'd try four of that designs 'LNB holders' on the one mount.

Dang things works perfectly; dish is a refurbished/painted- (rear of dish+mount bits and arm in Charcoal Galmet, Matt Black working surface) oval-shaped 85cm unit (brand unkown), - the setup has full quality on IS8, D1's ABC's/SBS, C1 and D2!

LNB's 10700. Set for D2 first, then C1, then IS8 - maximised quality, then thought I'd try for D1, did so by removing IS8, buggering about with D1's LNB holder and maximised quality then IS8 LNB support was re-fitted, it did, just.

Now I knew the things were capable of three sats, but had decent time and stuffed about and within say 15-25mins had all four locked.

Tight as fit, but fits snugly. I'll try and uplink pics later.

Now, I have a 65cm version of the same oval-shaped dish, but I'd doubt if it'd do four sats, might try though, since I know the LNB mount will carry four LNB supports! Accepting of course focal point issues etc.....
