hmmm looking at the spacing and the angle they are pointed into the dish I'd say from the left to right: D2, D1, IS8.

Edit: actually that's an old pic and it's C1, D1, IS8. I couldn't mount the dual lnb for C1 so it had to go to the 65cm dish above it and then I repositioned the C1 lnb to D2.

is it possible to use the slide black plastic multi lnb holders to get c1/d1/p8 satellites. ifso how far apart would they have to be on a 85-90cm dish.

is it better to make a homemade multi lnb holder to turn each lnb to the centre of the dish to get maximum signal from each satellite

or is it better/ok to cut wood blocks for the spacing and use silicone and zip ties

I'd just buy a multi lnb holder like what I used. You can turn and position the lnb's in any direction which is what's required on this kind of setup.

If your looking at the $15 one I bought from Ebay, let me warn you that it is not very flexible and bulky type LNB's are difficult to fit close together.
I havent had a chance to try it yet but I feen I should have bought the other one that has completely individual adjustments ,Ver-Horz-rotate left and right and tilt.
This fixed bar type only allows you to slide the LNB left to right and skew the LNB in the holder.
I have no complaint with its structure, just that it has little other adjustment.

I got mine from aussiesatellites.com in Melb northern suburbs. Was around $35 from memory. You can also adjust the lnb's up and down as well as rotate left and right, slide along bar and skew of course.

want to know what those clamps in the multi lnb holder that rotates as well as slide up/down are called that bolts each tubing in cross direction so a homemade one can be made and wether a hardware or electrical shop would sell them induvidually.

is it possible to get those types of lnb holders from a local satellite shop

is it possible to align a dish at one house then take it to a diffrent house in a different town and bolt it and use a meter and it work if each town has the same angles

That's all it is, pieces of tubing welded together at right angles with a nut welded on to accept a bolt to secure it in position. You'll be able to purchase tubing, nuts & bolts at metal/hardware suppliers, but not the LNB clamps themselves.

Some satellite shops sell them. Suggest you contact some and ask them.

No, different locations will have different angles. Yes, if you use a meter to re-align the dish and LNB's at the new location, providing there is a clear view to each of the satellites at that location.
