LNB Problem, any idea's?
I recently purchased off Ebay an Acer 10.7 ghz dual output LNB to replace my faithful 6 year old generic 11.3 ghz model. This was with a view to running two dreamboxes off one dish. When I connect it to my 65cm offset dish. I only get 43 % signal strength, when I switch back to the old generic, jumps straight to 85% no problem.
Do I need a bigger dish? I've tried rotating it, played with the angles of the dish, all to no availe.
Any idea's appreciated. Is it possibly faulty?
It is one like this BTW

I guess you altered the lnb settings on your decoder ?
The other thing is I have acer 11300 lnb and it does not need a skew for optus satellites unlike sharp ones etc .

yeh. the probe lignment is different by 45 degrees between a sharp and an autosat, same would be woth an acer, as marty pointed out.

yes the settings are changed in the box, so if the probe alignment is wrong I guess I need a different dish?
