    Have you tried calling a store?? According to DSE website, the Lidcombe store has one available... they may be able to help

    Alternatively Silicon Chip and Electronics Australia used to run alot of these kits as projects - might be worth researching through them

    After further investigation, it appears in the January 2000 EA which is a update of the Spetember / October 1993 Programmer featured in Electronics Australia

    Cheers

    For anyone else who's interested it's [5.5MB PDF]

    Software for that kit, written by David Jones, can be found on . David mentions important concerning 12 resistors whose values may need changing.

    EA Jan 2000 published an update which added support for larger EPROMs, but I don't have that issue. You might also be interested in Silicon Chip's which is based on K3602.

    As David comments on his web page, the kit's design "is WAY past it's used-by date (even was back when it was published) and needs a complete redesign, not just some ad-hock upgrade to an already unreliable design." Those looking to purchase an affordable programmer nowadays are better off looking at .

    I purchased one recently and it does the job for the moment and the price was right. It's best to make sure you get the programmer with the adapters you need as a package. The adapters seem to cost as much if not more than the programmer itself!

    Yes, 8-pin EEPROM (24Cxx/93Cxx), Flash (AT29Cxxx) and PIC (12xxx) are all supported by Willem programmer. There's a list of supported devices . I seem to recall that not all ATtiny devices are supported so check before buying if you use them.

    As you'll have gathered there are many manufacturers producing Willem compatible programmers, and there are .

    For working with SOIC8 there are available, and also cheap for occasional hobby use.

    sivava.com is worth exploring: their is massive. As Leroy advised, it's a good idea to buy several adapters when ordering the programmer rather than chasing them later, provided the prices are reasonable. It certainly pays to look around because some ZIF adapters can be ! For light duties the are probably adequate.

    The PCB No's are;
    EA 93epp7a for Main PCB,
    ZA-1331 for LED,ZIF socket PCB.I agree, it may be too far out-of-date, but I'll try anyway!
    Thanks Simon.
