am2 phenom 2 black 550-bulk buy
im looking at getting 20 of these cpus (min 20)
from a wholesale supplier.
i only want 1 or 2 but best price in aus is $115 + delivery.
i worked out about $70 each,new,boxed with fan.
these are am2+/am3 cpu, 3.1ghz,6mb cach, apparently unlockable to 3x or 4x core.
if i get say 10 takers i'll do it.
if someone wants 10 + me 10, we just split the cost.
hope this is ok mods, or just kill me.

my mobo is am2 not am2+. Is it worth upgrading from a 4400+ ?
The phenom II 550BE is a significant upgrade from your 4400+ and well worth the $70 although it may not be compatible with your mainboard ?
Best google your mainboard specs and check compatibility.
This cpu will kick your current cpu. Well worth the price if you want to upgrade.
i know it is a much better cpu, in a mobo that supports it....
but will it perform, or even work, in an am2 board ?

urban: i been using these, done bout 10 with no probs,$65 @ msy atm , ddr2 around $40 per 2gb stick.
and they support am3 cpu.
post should be only $5 or so, maybe $10 for 2

it's a dell inspiron 531s, just an office pc. It won't be overclocked.....
i'll take one, if it don't work i'll use it in something else.
hoe, your crappy dell latest bios says"support new cpu" grt work dell, should be ok.
