    Default Homebrew Takes A Hit In Wii System Menu 4.2

    New System Menu released recently which does away with any homebrew installed on the system.

    No real need to update at all, if your consoles online, just proceed with caution.

    thanks urban_s0ulja ,I kind of assume it I can't use this guide anymore to mod a friends wii ??

    im not a soft modding wizz, havn't read up on it much either.

    as far as im aware some exploits still work, dont think bannerbomb works anymore though.

    you won't be able to soft mod the REALLY new wiis with the D3 V2 dvd drive either.

    does that mean this will push the price higher for older units as they are modifiable?

    Probably not!

    Be interesting to see if Super Mario Brothers Wii has a forced update with it, I suspect it will.
    Coding in C is like sending a 3 year old to do groceries. You gotta tell them exactly what you want or you'll end up with a cupboard full of pop tarts and pancake mix.

    Not really mate...

    All you require is a dvd driveboard swap or if your really keen the entire dvd drive replaced

    and your good as old?

    cool so it seems that if you get online with your wii you are in trouble?


    and if you dont you should be ok, i dont know many people who go online with there wii.

    its when they bring out updates on new games that we will have dramas,

    Oh man that is so good, I figured people weren't this dumb these days, looks like they are.

    I wont be updating until I'm forced to (see post eariler for most likely date!), but its interesting Nintendos methods. Reminds me of the block on the flashcarts and they way they all got around that block.
