    Default Best PC(netbook/UMPC/etc) based GPS

    Hey,

Is Destinator the best PC based GPS or is there a better one?

Would like to have a GPS on my netbook (via a USB GPS device)

    Cheers,

    TB

If you're going off road too or just for the fun of it you should install OZIExplorer
    Tomtom GO730 ,Navcore 9.004 ,Bootloader 5.5256 ,Map :Australia 845.2661
ttmaps and Tomplayer on 16GB SDHC class6

thx NRT, would you be able to invite me to PDA4x?

What netbook do you use it on? Sygic does not seem to have a winxp version, just handheld devices (WM/Android/apple)

for now i want it as normal day to day driving (ie city/burbs) but would like walking tracks later so difenately looking into oziexplorer.

I have tomtom7 on my phone but would like a gps with a larger screen, and since my netbook has a touchscreen anyway it seem like the perfect choice.

    thx

Have sent you a PM. I have used it on a toughbook with touch screen and also the first ASUS eeepc that came out. You run it from drive.exe. You will have to download the map as well

I'm running Garmin Mobile PC for urban use, Oziexplorer for the bush with GlobalTop Touch GPS on a eeePC 1000HD with 2mb ram and 320gb HD. Well pleased....
