    Default Connecting TS0091 to Modem

    Hi all,

Does anyone know how to connect an external modem to TS0091 COmp/Printer Interface card? I have been trying all sorts of combinations and the modem is not talking to the panel. Have also tried to set modem to auto-answer, DTR settings, etc... Help appreciated. Many thanks.

As far as I am aware, the card is NOT for connection to a modem, but rather DIRECTLY to a PC and/or printer. Check the manual for DIRECT connection details. IE you can connect your laptop DIRECTLY to the card from the laptops serial port without the need for a modem.
If you want the modem for dialing into the panel for off site programming etc, you use the panels built in modem and dial into that.

Thanks. Already knew that. The panel is connected to a leased line, dial-in not possible.

Just trying to dial into a challenger panel via an external modem connected to TS0091 Computer Printer Interface Card.
I know I can use the panels internal modem, but its not available, because it is not connected to the PSTN.

Computer Interface (Challenger) LINE DB9 DB25
    GND---------------------------------------------------------GND 5 7
    RTS---| Locally Linked |--------CTS 8 5
    CTS---| |--------RTS 7 4
    TX-----------------------------------------------------------TX 3 2
    RX-----------------------------------------------------------RX 2 3
    Locally Linked |---------DSR 6 6
    |---------DTR 4 20

    Modem strings – AT\n0%c0&d2q1s0=2&u2&w – Mega-I-modem
    - At\n0&q0&d0q1s0=2&w – Roadster 2 modem

    Or for a different brand:

    \n0 – No Error correction
&d2 – Modem disconnects if the DTR is not detected.
    q1 – suppress modem responses
    s0=2 – Answer after 2 rings
    &u2 – V32.Bis / V22.Bis

Titan setup will be the same as per a normal dial in challenger, with the exception that it must be configured as a Multi Ring. 1 ring, 1 call should work fine.
