New Firmware For Relook 400s

For those that still have the Relook 400s there are some new firmware out.

Neumo 3.1.2 PAL version Released: 2009-08-08
Neumo 3.1.2 NTSC version Released: 2009-08-08
Turbokongen 3.1.3 -based on Neumo Released: 2009-09-08
ABcom Enigma for 4xxs =24-08-09 release= Released: 2009-08-26

They can be found at you need to have an account in order to download from here.

Or you can get this one which appears to be the very latest release relook400s.relook.3.1.3.pal.r3644 13-Sep-2009 00:00 from no account required.

I have not tried them so cannot give any feedback.

Ive tried 3.1.3 and it just not stable. Intermittently my box reboots... it was very annoying... went back to 3.1.2... thinking of going back to pli or nay enigma based firmware... I have not been using the twin tuner anyway.

I've been using the Turbokongen 3.1.3 image for a couple of weeks on the kids box. Seems ok to me. Have not noticed any reboots and the kids would let me know.

Turbokongen's 3.1.3 appears to be a different version to deeptho's latest. Deeptho's shows as 3.1.3r3644 on his website, but turbokongen's shows 2.90.r3634 on the info menu. I haven't tried deeptho's, but I still have a problem with turbokongen's - if I select dolby audio, the picture keeps breaking up, & I don't get any audio at all.

Might be OK if you could use both tuners. Personally I can't see the point in having a dual tuner box & only being able to use 1.

The faster cpu, more ram, 2 card slots and 2 ci's, hard drive. All pvr functionality on set tops is lame without any intelligent recording, and i can only watch one channel at a time

pli wont load on mine, abcom wont stream over the web, although it is a very nice image.

sifteam is my image of choice, everything works except long channel names on the display.

Can anyone confirm the web-x-tv works on pli on a 400s? I might have another go.

I'm currently on neumo 3.2.1. It's not too bad, but still has a few issues as far as I'm concerned.

1. EPG - would dearly love a decent extended EPG. All I have is now/next & even that can be a bit flakey.
2. There are still issues with recording. If you schedule overlapping recordings it can lock up the box.
3. Fast forward/rewind speeds have very little relationship to what is displayed.

Also, I'm still getting glitches using CCcam 2.0.0 sharing from CCcam-oscam on my DM600 - but this seems to be more an oscam issue, as it wasn't happening with the DM running CCcam alone.

Sounds like the same issues I am having. Have not ventured into oscam yet though. Would you buy another Relook these days?

Nope, but not because it's not a good box. In my eyes it's a great box.
If you're buying a box nowadays you'd be crazy not to go for one of the HD ones.
As with any receiver, you're never sure how good the support will be until well after it's released (and maybe outdated)

That's why I'm holding off getting a HD one as well. Wait and see which ones have good community support.

If I wanted to buy one now I'd go for the VU Duo.
It has backing from PLi since release so you can't go wrong.

I wouldn't mind a CubeRevo or CubeRevo-700HD. They both run E2 which enables you to use CrossEPG, & there seems to be a fair bit of development happening with E2.
