Need SNES emulator for windows XP
I downloaded a pile of SNES roms a while ago and have just got around to trying to play them
Having trouble locating a working emulator to play them
All the roms are in the 7z format so emulator would need to support that.
Any recommendations on a good emulator to get these roms working?

Thanks for that but alas I have yet to find an emulator that supports .7z (7zip) compressed format. Looks like they only support zip compressed roms.
7z files are compressed so much smaller than zip files.
1.7gb of roms .7z becomes 10gb zipped and there is no way I'm wasting 10gb of hdd space on .zip files
For all those interested managed to find a good yet simple front end for emulators .7z support.
SimpleFE - Simple Emulator FrontEnd
Works perfectly for Snes9x and other rom emulators. And the best thing it allows you to select which game you want to play if the compressed archive contains more than one version of the game.

Hi
Are your roms individualy .7z zipped or are they zips in one large .7z zip file?
If they are all in one large .7z file I think they only did that to save room for downloading them. It's better to dl a smaller 1.7g file then it is 10g.
Once you have them your meant to un.7z them for them to work with any emulator because they can't go into a zip and then go into another zip to see the game files.
10Gb isn't that large when u think about how many games there are in a good set of over 11,300, imagine if the emulators couldn't see into zips at all and they had to be in individual folders.
If u want save hdd space just use 3 dvd's and play them of that, that's what i did until i Bought another hdd.
Here is a place to get all the emulators u need and good for any roms your looking for to
Thanks

I think all the good sets are in 7z format and in the 7z is idividual zips thats why no program / emulator can read them that they made so far.
