Replace cap C09 in the power supply.
What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

Don't most of the electrolytics get a bit leaky with them buldging and leaking through the top? I would think it would be worth replacing all of them in the supply.

I was given a 5410 that is not working. I did the capacitor replacement but no joy, so I bought a new $50 power supply board. It is still dead - no display - power rails all measure perfectly.

Is there a fusible resistor or similar common fault on the mainboard I should check? Nothing obvious at this point.

    Cheers

I have a Humax 5400z which is also making the continous clicking noise.
But I'm still getting a picture on the tv. When I say that I'm not picking up any channels because I think the dish isn't aimed correctly anymore.
But I can still get into all the menus etc.
Does changing the C9 just get rid of this clicking noise?

Unbelievable but I was given another one with a stuffed power board, put in the new board and I now have a working 5410z and a dead one.

I live in Vanuatu 666 the postage to Oz will be expensive.
