Foxtel have a special counter strike targeting you.
Have you seen the black helicopter overhead lately with a ray gun firing at your dish?
Sounds like interference to me.
hi everyone, i have a 3.7metre dish here zinwell 15 k lnbf cband feed currently only. ,my receiver is a octagon 518 with a diseq 1`.2 motor positioner.the problems im having have just started again that is my receiver is being flooded with some type of unidentified transmitter with an unknown origin here my system has been working excellent for months until tuesday of this week .the interference returned again its taking out nearly all the horizontal transponders on every satellite except ku even some vertical transponders are being affected, but 90% of the horizontals are being wiped out with this unknown transmitter. i did replace the f connector when it was doing it it seems to have helped abit but it seems that asiasat5 cband is the worst affected ,can anyone give me some advice on this on how to combat this if i can ,thanks hamguy2 nsw .

the signal is getting drowned out by something then it flicks back to nothing ,regards hamguy2 nsw
If it's all horizontal transponders on all satellites, on different frequencies, I'd suspect an LNB fault.
hi its a zinwell lnb i checked it with another it did the same thing ,thx hamguy2 nsw
hi what about trying another receiver
Could be...18v/13v problem so yeah test another one if you can.
ill do that tomorrow morning im watching tv right now i dont think anytrhing will change in 8 to 12 hours
That's exactly what I was about to suggest.
Also, try turning off appliances etc, to see if one has some spurious emission.
I've seen everything from a faulty power supply in a VCR, and motors in aircon units and even faults in garage door openers cause otherwise 'unexplained' interference/loss of reception.
hi what about the net its ds2 here ill be getting direct tv from the usa soon by the net through a2btv i had a 2 day demo the channels the reception was excellent its called a sling box ,thx hamguy2
im trying a different receiver in the morning mtv the netcomm nbnb9w max plus has hot wireless but its turned off
the box ill be trying tomorrow is an aopen 810 ok,thx hamguy2 nsw
It sounds like interference either from Wimax or radar , thanks to the powers that be selling off C Band spectrum . One of these should fix it
Chops out the interference in the 3.6ghz range .

Yeh it sounds similar to the problem I'm having were the signal is so strong that it saturates the AGC & causes the front end of the receiver to shutdown until the interference is gone only to repeat its self over & over.
I am preparing to move the dish to a more shielded position hoping that fixes it.
In My case I have a similar LNB to the 1 in the sattronics link & it didn't help.
good luck & please let us know if you resolve the problem.
