Just bad luck

Hey guys,

I've been into sat stuff for a fair while and finally decided to set up the sat again. Mounted the sat, ran the cable, tuned it in with my strong x2 then borrowed a family members box who is overseas and had a valid sub. A nice little screen popped up saying to upgrade your subscription please call .... What a bummer. Found out he just cancelled his sub What a bummer.

Oh well cant win them all.

For newbies having trouble getting signal the hard bit is always getting the lnb settings right and hoping your cable isn't stuffed. Do a search on the web for your lnb and see if anyone has the same box then just copy their settings. Drag a tv out so you can see it from the sat, go to your dish settings/signal strength, dial in the beacon freq i.e. optus c1 10.700, check where you should generally be pointing on the net then start doing a slow N pattern with the dish. Signal will go up at some point in time then you just gotta fine tune it and hope you have the right sat.

False alarm. I was in a bit shitty cause it didn't work then this arvo I clicked on. If it has been off for ages the keys may have not updated. Left it on all arvo and now have some great tv to watch.



I had it on for a few hours before but it obviously wasn't long enough.
