VOIP Question

I am currently looking at using Internodes VOIP service NodePhone 2 with a Billion Bipac 7401VGP R3 modem its Internodes prefered hardware.

Before I change to VOIP I would like to know how others have found VOIP. Have you had any problems with the service, whats the quality like etc?

For me to be able to switch its got to be seemless as far as the wife & kids are concerned. We have 3 telephones in the house and idealy to avoid confussion they all need to be attached to my VOIP service.

I know there is only one phone connection on the modem BUT is it possible to connect more than one phone to the outlet (parallel 3 phones on the one modem phone port)? Anyone tried??

One thing you need to get used to is a different dial tone. When you hear a 'normal' dial tone, you know your voip is not working and you are not getting cheap calls
I use 1 phone socket, with several cordless phones linked. All use the Voip service.
If you use the Billion make sure it has the firmware updates done, as the unit can be just like any router that decides to do power cycles itself at whim.
