Default Sat dish and terrestrial ant on same mount ?

As above, will i have any reception problems being that they will face opposite directions ? I could use a vertical stabilized mast and mount both to it if reception wont be affected.

No problems, providing neither the dish or antenna block each others signal paths.

The only possible issue is if the dish is in close proximity to the terrestrial antenna, there may be a reflection (multipath) issue, but that would depend on how good the terrestrial signals are and the front/back ratio of the antenna, but generally speaking, should be ok.

Just ensure the mast/mount is rigid, so as the dish doesn't move.

Thanks, thought i may as well kill 2 birds with one stone and replace the old antenna in the roof space and use the same mount for both.

Yes there is... you just don't see it as ghosting, like you do on analogue.

Multipath causes bit errors in the digital data stream, (increased BER) which if your receiver can't correct them sufficiently, you get pixellation or loss of reception altogether if it's severe.

Areas where more than one transmitter is received on the same frequency in a single frequency network (SFN) can also have the same effect, depending on signal levels arriving at the antenna.
