Here in regional WA, I doubt we will ever see any of the new digital channels
No 7two for the Prime Orange/Dubbo area of NSW.
This covers from Lithgow in the east to Broken Hill in the west, just about 2/3rds of the state.
Currently ALL prime channels, HD, View 1,2,3 are showing the V8 car program.
I rescanned the tuner just in case but nothing.
So, who else hasnt got the 'new' 7Two today??

It's a no show in Canberra as well, but found this;
This Sunday’s launch of 7TWO won’t be seen across Seven’s biggest affiliate as Prime Television delays the start of broadcasts of the new multichannel into Regional NSW and Victoria.
Prime are yet to commit to a start date and have told interested viewers inquiring about the new service that an announcement will happen soon.
Meanwhile, The Canberra Times report that 7TWO will not start until at least January next year.
Seven Queensland will commence broadcasting 7TWO from Sunday and as reported yesterday, Southern Cross Television have confirmed that they will commence broadcasting 7TWO from December 1st.

Everyone, I apoligise as I should have been more specific with that question.
I meant those who already have a Prime/7/whatever service on Digital now.
What we really need is a survey done on who has what.
How many channels in your area?
what are those channels.ie ABC,SBS, commercial affiliate.
What is analog, not really important but handy to know.
What is available in SD & HD.
Some places never had the full compliment of channels after Aggregation in 1988 but MAY now provide all channels when analog is turned off in that district when the changeover occurs during the next 4 years.
This is the very reason we need for the FTA terrestial service to be made available via Satelitte for all the areas not covered now or never will be.
Windy, as usual your the ONE and thanks for that,
Let's hope Prime's 'SOON' announcement isnt like the Blue screen loop we currently have on WINHD (80) telling us they are 'rebuilding' their HD service.
Yep, just confirming that there is no 7TWO channel on Prime in Newcastle Hunter valley area of NSW
Thanks Windy for that Information,
Makes you wonder why Prime have delayed the start of 7TWO ?

Money, plain and simple money.
I bet they are either not wanting to pay for these programs or they cant get advertising revenue to do so.
But apparently QLD has taken this channel but then, WHO as well as the Head Honcho comes from QLD ????
osirus, I think the Gosford Translator is carrying the new 7TWO but not Wyong and north thereoff.

There are actually 3 transmitters on the Central Coast.
Bouddi, Forresters Beach and Wyong.
The Forresters Beach definitely has both Syd & Newy channels. I'm not sure about the others..

There's a comment on;
If this is true, then there's no need put up with PRIME's bullsh!t delaying tactics! Here’s some irony for you. Foxtel will carry 7TWO from Nov 24th. I’m not sure what Austar’s plans are for it.

Pessimistic sod that I am, I bet 2 bob to a Dollar that it will be for Metrop viewers ONLY, as per bl**dy usual !!!

Prime is the affiliate station for the Seven network in much of regional Australia. Like their regional competitors, Southern Cross (TEN) and NBN & WIN (Nine), Prime are anticipated to take on the new digital station from their affiliate partner….and they will….eventually.
There is one hitch in the plan, though. The new station’s name.
Southern Cross were happy to take on OneHD from TEN. NBN were happy to take on GO! from Nine. But for Prime the 7TWO name and branding is too closely identified with the Seven Network. Its not an easy brand for them to work with and Seven clearly weren’t thinking much about their affiliates when they settled on the name.
So regional Australia, that’s why you won’t be watching 7TWO for a while. We’ll let you know when an agreement has been reached and launch is scheduled.
I thought the Name would be a Stumbling Block,
they must be thinking of using another Channel Name (like Prime TWO), or just something without 7 in it, (like they substitute Prime for Seven Now)
Much better Option would be to rename Prime to Seven NSW etc...., (like they do in south east Queensland), & call it Seven Queensland
or just stop the bullshit & go with 7TWO,
Thanks Windy, for posting the info,
I wonder if 7TWO will be on Satellite too or just cable,
cheers
