well glad you got a good deal out it as well as other people out their. in comparison to jetstar, i think their pricing is great, btw the plane is a airbus a321 same as what jetstar uses, the seats arnt leather but very comfortable and staff are freindly i have flown once with them an was very impressed

hence why i am flying again

food isnt to badly priced either

They cannot possibly make money, run a business that way - but good on them for trying it so.

Get a few in, make a name etc.

Hate to be in the airline business, what with fuel cost and supply issues etc.

Ive booked flights that I bought for $19.95 to Tassie, problem is, everything I've heard about Tiger has been bad. They have canceled flights, charge $25 for infants (even if adults are $9.95) and charge $25 each way per for prams/child car seat, which others do no charge for.

They had to cancel all flights to Alice Springs until March as well.

Hope I don't have any drama's, but after talking to friends who ave used them, it looks to be drama riddled!

Just checked the site out and can't see any $9.95 deals? Were they advertised on the front screen or did you need to do a search for them?

ok i flew to launceston on the 4th of december no problem was delayed by an hour due to the flight from maroochidore comming in late the rason tehy are cancling flights is becasue of Severe weather yes i heard people gettting charged extra for things and i think the couple behind me got charged an extra 30 doolars for being over weight, but i dont know i had no problem with them, as for sydney its not going to happen due to the high costs associated with sydney airport, they keep their prices stay low due to staying away from high cost ports

so i think that could be a problem for people their as i would also like to visit sydney

they have a new thing on with a autum special like i said i as i look at tiger airways site everytime i open internet explorer i see a good deal i will inform you guys so you can enjoy the specials like i do

keepleft, i cant see how they can manage it either but they keep their costs down by purchaing new aircraft hence the brand spanking new airbus *had that new smell, when i went in their i loved it* and they get their servicing done by singapore airlines, and have financial support for singapore airlines also they have taken off in asian market too, so they are quite successful i think

    *edit*

troyboy it was advertised where you see the autumn crop special so on the main screen and yoiu have to be quick, what i also like is you can pick your own seats i have picked 20a and 20f just behid the wing so i can see the speed breaks being deployed apon landing, which is cool so on my next flight in march i picked the same seats. but 19.95 is better than todays special of 39.95 for some places, you will have no problems with launceston or hobart at all i dont think

They charged the couple behind you an extra $30 for being overweight? lol

If your skinny do you get a $30 discount?

Even with some extra charges their as cheap as chips. It would be nice to know all the catches first though.

yes i know it was sort of funny but not for them, i am skinny as a rake but i didnt get a discount though they where happy that i didnt have any luggage.

as i said i check the site at least 1000 times a day, and its the first thing i see in the morning i see a special you can count on within 5 minutes i will have it posted here as for the emailing system about specials it doesnt seem to work for me

and i think the couple was late hence being charged a little extra :P

i and some friends had a ver bad experience with this airway, nothing is for free. something like this seems to be a bargain but it isnt. i hope u guys dont experience what we did. our plane was delayed for 7 hours before they told us that we had to go home with virgin airways the next day and we also had to stay at the airport hotel. this happened on 2 different occasions.

Fact of life with any airline these days. One busted plane in the fully stretched network and the ripple effect can be nasty. The LCC's running things even tighter hit the wall quicker.
