    Arrow Outdoor Camera Advice

    Hi all,

A friend is looking to add some cameras around his house, and Im basically looking for a coaxial colour outdoor dome camera (day/night).

Looking to spend approx $300 per camera, and we'll require about 6-8 of them.
Looking at something like this ->

Basically just want a quality camera that will supply good images in day/night situations, also some of the cameras will have the sun directly at them at times so they need to be able balance the light accordingly.

Also not sure whether a camera with IR LED's will be any better then those without. I've got some cameras with IR, and I find at night time that the IR light can be too strong if there are large objects within a close range to the camera, this causes a big white spot on the image.

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks

I have cameras that are dual light.

    They are a Day/Night camera with the following specs;

    *1/3" Sony Super HAD CCD
    *550TVL resolution
    *20m IR distance
*White light (Bright White LED's that are motion triggered.
*Built-in PIR to trigger white light (7m range, temperature detection)
    *6mm fixed lens
    *3-Axis for perfect picture adjustment.

Unlike other IR cameras which can only display a B/W image at night, this camera is designed with a motion detection PIR built-in to activate the white light LED's, enabling enough light for a color image within distance of the camera.

The PIR will detect temperature change upto 7m from the camera and activate the LED's in the way a security porch light would.

    These cameras are $299ea pp.

I haven't got a demo setup yet, but here are some Utube clips that the manufacturer has posted.
