    Hi,
I do have the same problem, my EONON G1306D simply doesn't boot into a working IGO. Anybody out there who could point us into the right direction?

Tried a couple of different versions with different sys.txt but failed to get it working.

I don't understand why it tries to load that low resolution as the device uses 800x480?!

    who can help me ?

Hi Ron - got my 1306d running with the lower resolution some time ago now. It took a fair bit of experimenting, but the resolution that worked for me was 480 x 234.
Frankly it is now a while ago, but the skins you need must support that resolution. I originally used Bazzle's download (thanks Bazzle) and then sought out skins that contained the 480 x 234 graphics.

Works flawlessly - and no lag like with Garmin.

    cheers

Didn't come up with any error in regards to the resolution but does what most other tried distributions did.
It boots into a screen which shows a satellite (blue background) which I believe is still part of the radio firmware (?!), the progress bar goes until the end and it jumps back to where you select the source (card-folder) of your PGS software or the adjustment of the touch screen.
Quite frustrating! I am wondering if anybody got this EONON G1306 working?!
All these cheap GPS devices I bought from Dealextreme, Actfind or Dinodirect in the past never caused any grief. I simply did with them what I did with the car radio. Loading the IGO software (Destinator, TomTom worked well too) to the SD card and ready to go.
Even a recent try with IGO9.2 just worked straight ahead. Don’t know what is so different with the radio?

    Cheers
Alright, I finally got it running. The EONON G1306 is not 800x480 as some sources say, it is 480 x 234.
For the GPS settings following is applicable: COM port 1, Baud rate 38400.

I think I used in the end bazzle's upload, adapted the sys.txt, searched and found somewhere a data.zip which has the correct 400 x 234 bitmaps for IGO8 and loaded a recent OZ map on it.
A quick run around the block looked promissing, spoken streetnames, recalculation... worked fine.

    A special thanks to bazzle

    Cheers

Okay... my first post here but have done a wad of searches and it's all screwed with my head. I have a old version of IGO8 that I want to update..

Can I just replace the "australia.fbl" file with a newer one?

I did try this and the GPS (generic brand) finds my position in Aus as viewable on the basemap but no roads etc.

    Cheers....

Depends on version. If igo8.0 no.
    8.3.2/4/5 yes.

    Heres an upto date one.

Well all is good with the backup and then the install of the updated I go s/w however I am now getting "insufficient memory " errors and the app locks up. I seem to have 2 options, play around with thesys.txt file and/or use Igo amigo.

    Remove (and save) items like:
    Speedcams
    Dem files
    TTS files

Then add back one at a time
    Delete 'save' directory each time.

thanks Bazzle.... a wealth of info

Been doing some more hunting through the threads as well as looks like the sys.txt could do with a tweak.

Maybe by adding the likes of

Default Cant' get IGO8 to run

I've obtained a copy of IGO8 and tried ti install it on an HTC Touch HD and, while it seems to install OK, everytime I try to start it I get a message saying "Program application database cannot be found. Please insert original application SD card". Any ideas how to get around this.

I already have it operating on a Samsung OMNIA I900 but the hardware is failing so i want to transfer it to another unit. Itried transferring all the files across and retstarting it but that didn't seem to work either.
