High speed dsl, at last
It looks like we'll get faster internet in Australia.
Don't know what is the pricing going to be.

yeh, labour will buld it in 5 years for everyone.
The disapointing fact is the plan, as per the article , is to limit the broadband speed to 25Mbits/s, when theoretical throughput can go upto 100Mbits/s U/D @ 300m from the exchange.
Aparently eiftell was going to introduce their first vdsl network as early this year.
I will believe it when I see it. Telstra are doing everything they can to control this and if they win out we lose as they will screw every last cent out of users for the service and value adds.
I would love to see fibre to every home but even if that happened there are still bandwidth restrictions from Oz to the US etc.
Lets hope if this thing gets built its not monopolized and controlled by one ISP.
Then again when Mr KRudds porn filter kicks in and copyright torrent downloads are banned there should be lots of bandwidth
