Nice I think thats the same deal people in WA get.

Sorry I specialize in bagging the Federal and Victorian governments but I guess in the case of the NSW government it could be a case of the Infinite monkey theorem

I don't HATE the NSW government, merely think its day is probably done.

Anyway...what gives you the extraordinaty idea that this announcement is coupled to reality in ANY WAY. None of their other announcements in recent years have amounted to jack sh*t.

Except perhaps that Della Bosca was a liar and cheat.

    Cheers

The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

NSW households with solar energy systems will now be paid a premium rate for all of the clean electricity generated through their panels - not just the small percentage they sell back to the grid (the so-called net tariff paid by all other states, with the exception of the ACT, which also pays the gross tariff).

Under the new gross feed-in scheme, households with solar panels can expect to receive about $1,500 a year for the electricity they generate.
If the government is prepared to pay solar powered households $1,500 a year, Why not pay to have solar panels fitted to houses and use the $1,500 a year to defray the costs of the panels etc.

As each house becomes solarised they make no demand on the power grid and in fact feed a little power back into the grid to be used by industry etc.

This would save the state billions of dollars by reducing the number of new power stations that would need to be built.

    Yeah right!

subsidising the panel installation would see 'conflict of interests. rear its ugly head and installation companies rorting the governments good will.

Government doesn't have "Good will", They have taxpayers money.

If a government department isn't capable of securing a contract with a manufacturer, for the supply and installation of probably hundreds of thousands of solar installations over the years, at a fair and reasonable price.

    Then that government is incompetent.

That sounds like the NSW government.

NSW Government is filth. Has been ever since the 70's.

Sooner or later power will be privatised then you really do have internet censorship because you have no reliable power

I hope you mean the 1770s, Look at the history of bribery and corruption that was endemic in the Rum Corps.

Look at Robin Askin, It's believed that he was pocketing over $500 a week in bribes from organised crime, and this was in the 1960s when the dollar had value.
Look at the reasons why Neville Wran suddenly resigned as state Premier.

NSW has been run by incompetent corrupt politicians since day one, and nothing has changed.
