Contrib Polynesia still FTA currently running a wild quiz show with the Hot BABES.

An hour ago it was the commercial reel out of Paris with all of tonight's commercials being blasted down the bird with clapper board durations, key #'s and placement times.
    Tres enteresant.

    Happy Australia Day,

still have not had a long enough break in the weather to have a decent go at it. I am having trouble with a starting elevation. As i normally judge from previously found sats that i have marked the elevation on my bracket. This bird is substantially lower than most i have previously located. I don't seem to be getting enough of a fluctuation in the signal meter from the decoder to give some hints in which direction to go. I have thought of trying my little sat finder, but have some self doubt so am going to wait for clear skies in case it is a weak signal. I know it has been previously mention about cloud cover but up here in the tropics it's a little different. I along with all others loose austar with cloud cover. Especially this cloud from the ex tropic cyclone............i got webbed feet from the week of rain................!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am interested to hear peoples methods on using your little sat finder.........I have normally just relied on a compass and watching the screen but am always open to suggestions good or bad lol

I701 can be a hard bitch to find with its weak signals, However, I dare say that it may make it a bit easier for you to find GE23 first, as GE23 has one particularly powerful freq that you should be able to fry an egg on, 12705H, SR5000.

but indeed you will need a signal meter.

Gentlemen + the very ocassional lady,

I701 (The 180) just simply booms into Sydney, I first used it back in 1972, analog for a Kezza demo with a 13M we dragged to SYD from Honolulu..................and it just keeps booming in..............albeit with various replacement birds................long live Intelsat Washington and their great never to go to bed parties with the French BABES.

    Au revior,

    Hi guys,
Any chance to get it in Melbourne with 80cm dish and universal LNB?
I see that lyngsat suggests using 1.2m dish in my area (), but whit’s required in reality?
    Cheers

I first tried getting I701 witha 65cm motorised setup, no go, so stepped up to an 85cm motorised and no problems, I'm in southern vic and getting 50% signal strength on 11174h freq., so I reckon you should get it with an 80cm.

Get the H-H motor alignment working between the Optus sats and AsiaSat4 at 122.2 and NSS6 and you should be pretty close to the needs of i701. i701 is a bit touchy with the skew tho.
