Australian or Overseas ? Hosting in the US for example is very cheap compared with Australia. Windows or Linux ? Linux is much cheaper.

For linux I generally use webcity, they have pretty good reliability for the price you pay.

For Windows I use netlogistics as they are cheap for a windows server, but they do have far less reliability than webcity (though this is probably more a windows v linux thing)

I see your current host is US based ( their servers ). You mention someone Sydney based but are their servers Sydney based ? At a guess at that price , I would say not.

You could try . One year for $58.56 is pretty hard to beat ( they are running a special at the moment )
Austech use them for premium members email accounts and have for about 4 years. If you use them please consider using Austech's affiliate link which will benefit Austech

I've used a few but nothing comes close to the level of service / dedication and reliability.

Its good dealing with someone who actually runs the servers, than a reseller who is at the mercy of the big fish.

Thanks to Urban for the kind words, but yes I do run my own servers and our own connections and our reliability speaks for itself. Feel free to contact me by PM to discuss your needs and costs etc.
What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

Thanks rank1. I signed up with Webcity (Parramatta server). 10gb space, 50gb traffic, AU6.95$ per month good value.

Yeah, I went with them for 12 months around $55. Read a lot of good reports on Whirlpool.

Just received this from my host. Might be worth checking out:

    Dear John,

Our new Deal of the Decade promotional web hosting plan has proven to be a smash hit, with over 65% of the allocated accounts being snapped up in just three days!

The Deal of the Decade web hosting plan gives you two years of web hosting on Sydney-based servers, with 2GB of disk space and 50GB of monthly bandwidth for just $39.00 (that's right, $39.00 for two years of hosting!). There is no better offer currently available on the Australian market, and the offer will end 11:59PM this Friday or sooner if the remaining accounts have sold out.

For full details on this plan, or to place your order today, head to

These plans are ideal for recommending family, friends and colleagues to COVE, or you might want to pick one up for yourself. Please note that you cannot upgrade/downgrade your existing plan to one of these plans as they are for new services only.

If you have any questions about this service, don't hesitate in contacting our Sales team via eTicket as you may miss your place!

    Regards,

    Paul Lansbury
